School Trip Fund

Did you know that we have seen a 15% reduction in our school budget over the past few years? This means that we can no longer subsidise school trips to the extent we used to. Less than 25% of parents have contributed £20 to help us cover the cost of school trips. I ask all of you to please do this so that we can continue to take your children on educational trips to support their learning.

School Photographs

The school photographer will be in on Friday 20th October for individual photographs.

Star of the Week

Well done to

Nirab (Yr 1)

Harry (Yr 2)

Dojo Winners

The Dojo winners this week are:

Ruwayda (Yr 3)

Chikaima (Yr 4)

Dhanusha (Yr 5)

Helin (Yr 6)

Lateness

It has been brought to my attention that some children are late to school regularly. It is very important that all children are in school for the start of day at 9:00am. Children who are regularly late miss important parts of their lessons and cause disruption to the class teacher and the office staff. Please make sure that your child comes to school on time.

Head Lice

We have had a few cases of head lice, often called nits, this term. It is common for children to get head lice from time to time and it is nothing to worry about. A letter will be coming home with strategies for dealing with head lice. We will also put this information on our website.

Children do not need to be kept off school because of head lice.

Parents’ Week

This will be the week beginning 30th October. Make sure you have made an appointment to see your child’s teacher before the end of the week

Breakfast Club

There are still some places in Breakfast Club. It costs £2.50 a day.

Half Term

Please remember that we break up for half term on Friday 20th October and return to school on Monday 30th October.

It has definitely become more autumnal. Please make sure that all clothing belonging to your child is labelled.

Kind regards
