ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS 2024/25

 Data Breakdown

End-of-Year Assessment Overview (2024–25)

Celebrating Success and Setting Clear Next Steps

This year’s assessment outcomes reflect the school’s unwavering focus on high-quality teaching, inclusive practice, and early intervention. Across the phases, from Reception to Year 6, pupils have achieved strong outcomes that demonstrate both academic attainment and the impact of sustained professional collaboration.

Key Stage 2 (SATs) – Strong Outcomes Across the Board

  • 83% of pupils met or exceeded expectations in Writing, 87% in both Reading and Science, and 97% in Maths and GPS.

  • Pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) performed particularly well, with 100% reaching the expected standard in Maths and GPS, and 87% in all other subjects.

  • Pupil Premium (PP) pupils matched or exceeded their peers in several areas, with 100% achieving the expected standard in Maths and GPS, and 88% in Reading.

  • Pupils with SEND showed solid progress, particularly in Maths (89%) and GPS (89%), though outcomes in Writing and Reading (both at 56%) indicate an area for development.

  • Non-SEND pupils achieved 100% expected or above in all subjects, reflecting consistently high-quality teaching and curriculum alignment.

Key Strengths:

  • High performance in Maths and GPS across all groups

  • EAL and PP cohorts are demonstrating strong outcomes, with minimal gaps between groups

  • Inclusive practice enabling sustained progress across vulnerable cohorts

Next Steps:

  • Refine and strengthen writing provision for SEND pupils, particularly around sentence structure, composition, and sustained stamina for extended writing

Early Years and Phonics – Secure Foundations

  • 70% of pupils achieved a Good Level of Development (GLD) at the end of Reception

  • 86% of pupils met the Phonics standard in Year 1, increasing to 100% by the end of Year 2

  • Outcomes in Reading by Year 2 were 100% across all groups, including EAL, PP, and SEND

  • SEND pupils, while showing low GLD in Reception (0%), made excellent phonics progress by Year 2, highlighting the effectiveness of targeted support

Key Strengths:

  • Excellent phonics outcomes by the end of Year 2, with all pupils meeting expectations

  • Equitable reading progress across key groups (EAL, PP, SEND)

Next Steps:

  • Focused support in Reception to increase early GLD, particularly for SEND pupils through earlier identification and tailored interventions

Cross-Phase Highlights

  • Both boys and girls achieved highly, with boys performing particularly well in Science, Maths, and GPS

  • Pupil Premium and EAL groups achieved strong parity with or above their peers, demonstrating the impact of targeted intervention

  • 100% of non-SEND pupils met expected standards in every subject by the end of Key Stage 2

Priorities for 2025–26

Strengthen:

  • Writing outcomes for SEND pupils, with an emphasis on scaffolding and sentence construction

  • Reception GLD, particularly for vulnerable pupils, through earlier support and more targeted provision
