Ofsted Report
The school was last inspected on 11 and 12 January 2022. The inspector found that Nightingale remains a 'good' school.
The report stated the following:“Pupils enjoy learning and coming to school. The headteacher encourages a culture of learning being its own reward.”
“Pupils’ behaviour is good.”
“Teachers have high expectations of what pupils can achieve and design interesting work for them. Pupils achieve well.”
“Leaders have ensured that the curriculum is ambitious and well planned. It provides pupils with a wide range of subjects and experiences, starting in early years.”
“Reading is a high priority throughout the school. Pupils are highly motivated to read and keen to talk about their choice of reading books.”
“Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported throughout the school, including in the early years. ”
“The headteacher has developed a strong culture of shared leadership. ”
“The arrangements for safeguarding are effective. ”
“Pupils feel safe in school and trust the adults in school to help them if they are worried about anything."
